We’re thrilled to announce that thirteen 4th and 5th grade girls have been nominated by their teachers to join our Young Ladies Organization (YLO)! We kicked off our first meeting yesterday with an Ice Breaker Bingo to help everyone get acquainted, followed by the introduction of our book study, which will focus on cultivating inner beauty and leadership skills.
We also discussed our upcoming community events that will give the girls meaningful opportunities to make a positive impact in the world around them.
Our first gathering included some cherished traditions:
- A Celebration of Officers, honoring four 5th grade girls returning for their second year
- A heartfelt Candlelight Pledge
- A touching Rose Ceremony, where our Officers personally welcomed each new member by calling them up and presenting them with a rose
We’re looking forward to many more inspiring moments and events throughout the year!
