This past Tuesday, we treated the young ladies at Trisha’s school to The Cheesecake Factory. The young ladies put into practice what they learned during the dinner etiquette lesson with Mrs. Karen Howard-Lee last week.
Only one of the students had been to The Cheesecake Factory before. One young lady said that when she heard where we were going, she thought it was an actual factory. Another student assumed we would only have dessert there. My favorite part was hearing what one of the young ladies told Trisha. Looking around the young lady said, “I’ve never been to a place as fancy as this before.”
At the end of the meal, the first-year YLO members received an engraved bracelet that said, “Be the Change You Want to See in the World”. The YLO officers, who are our second-year members, received sterling silver necklaces with their names and “YLO Officer ’25” engraved. And of course, we ordered cheesecake!
The young ladies were well-behaved and were really grateful for the experience. We had a great time!
